NHS Sight Tests

At TONI&GUY Opticians we welcome both Private and NHS sight tests.
You are entitled to a free NHS test if you fall into any of the following categories:

On age grounds - You are entitled if you are:

• Under 16 years of age*
• In full time education and under 19 years of age*
• Over 60 years of age

On income related grounds - You are entitled if you:

• Or your partner receive Income Support, Working Families Tax
• Credit/Income-Based Job Seeker’s Allowance*
• You have a low income (with a HC2 certificate)*

On health grounds - You are entitled if you:

• Are prescribed complex lenses*
• Receive Disabled Persons Tax Credit*
• Are registered blind or partially sighted
• Have diabetes or glaucoma
• Are over 40 and have a sibling or a parent with glaucoma

*These categories with the asterisk also qualify for an NHS voucher as part payment for spectacles and contact lenses.
