ON SET WITH RUSSELL BRAND AND HIS RAY-BAN LOVE AFFAIR

As likely to be in the headlines for his wit as well as his style, Russell Brand has been spotted on the set of the forthcoming film, ‘Arthur’, sporting some uber trendy
Ray-Ban Wayfarers.
The comedian, actor, writer and all-round celebrity is no stranger to the spotlight, and - like any celebrity worth their salt - dons his shades at the first sign of a photographer.
‘Arthur’, the remake of Dudley Moore’s popular 1981 movie about a drunken millionaire playboy, stars Brand in the title role. Filming started in July, and it seems that Russell is all too keen to fit the movie star image, after successful supporting roles in ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ and Adam Sandler’s ‘Bedtime Stories’, followed by a leading role in 2010’s ‘Get Him to the Greek’.
Being the fashionista that he is, Brand has inspired many to imitate his unique style. His iconic
Ray-Ban’s are understated cool in its purest form. The plastic-rimmed Wayfarer are currently the toast of Hollywood’s elite. But their heritage goes right back to Woodstock, 1969, and the counter-culture intellectual movement in America. There’s clearly history behind these shades, not just style.
At the start of this year, Brand announced his engagement to music star and fashion icon Katy Perry who is also enjoying a love affair with
Ray-Ban eye-wear in her hit single ‘Teenage Dream’. So between a busy film schedule and impending marriage, it’s always good to see Russell - cheeky chap that he is - donning some Ray-Ban’s and chilling out.
