Charities - TONI&GUY Charitable Foundation

The TONI&GUY Charitable Foundation is the official charity of the internationally renowned hairdressing company TONI&GUY, essensuals and TONI&GUY Opticians. It was established in 2003 by Toni and Pauline Mascolo with the aim of supporting a number of worthwhile charitable causes. The Foundation raises all its money through the fantastic fundraising efforts of staff and clients, through raffles, gala evenings, collections, sky dives and marathons, and is eternally grateful to all its supporters.

The Variety Club

Over £680,000 has been raised to date for the Variety Club to fund the renovation of the TONI&GUY Ward at the Variety Club Children’s Hospital in London. The Variety Club Children’s Hospital at King’s College Hospital is nationally and internationally recognised for the work that it does, in particular within the specialist fields of liver disease, neurosurgery, cystic fibrosis and sickle cell disease.

The children in the TONI&GUY Ward can enjoy spacious and colourful rooms full of toys whilst staff provide first class specialist treatment using the most up-to-date equipment.

Fondazione Oasi Regina Degli Angeli, Italy

This is a centre in southern Italy (near to where Toni Mascolo grow up) which offers support to those people who are disadvantaged due to physical or psychological problems, or because of their social, personal or financial circumstances. The refuge supports numerous vulnerable children and young people to escape problems of abuse. The Foundation has donated over £55,000 to the Italian refuge over the years.

Macmillan Cancer Support

Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. They provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care. So far over £25,000 has been raised for Macmillan, and this will be used for wig grants. The Foundation has also been working with Macmillan to develop a hair care advice and support service for people affected by cancer. This service, called ‘Strength in Style’, is being offered in over 60 TONI&GUY and essensuals salons nationwide.

HABB (Hair and Beauty Benevolent)

HABB is the official industry charity, dedicated to helping hair and beauty professionals facing difficulties in life. They offer financial support and funding to individuals and their families facing illness, bereavement or financial hardship. In 2010, the Foundation donated £10,000 to HABB, and will donate an addition £10,000 in 2011.
